How has being a Religion graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"For many years, my religion degree was helpful in my work in the nonprofit world as a fundraising professional. I worked in the arts and in higher education, and the religion degree allowed me to connect with these donors across the year, fully understanding how their faith impacted their philanthropy."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Religion programs?

"Make sure to double down and learn how to write well. Use the religion degree to further your ability to write because so many people are unable to craft a great statement, even write a good email. The ability to write about complex ideas (like religion) is an invaluable asset. Write clearly!"
